Please restart my heart!
Ok, well that was scary... I was just giving Joey a bottle of juice when he started choking, like I'm talking didn't take a breathe for about 30 seconds, juice coming out of his nose, gasping for air choking. I just hope he didn't aspirate, but it sounded like he did. He just cried himself to sleep so we'll see what happens. It scared the crap out of me though...

Oh man, sorry you had to go through that! When theBeast was born she kept choking on her own mucus, and we would call down to the nurses station freaking out because she wasn't breathing. No fun at all!!
If he did aspirate-he might start running a low grade temperature within the next 24 hours. If so-the doctor may want to just listen to his lungs or give him some antibiotic. Good news though is given that he 'cried himself to sleep' that when babies cry- they are actually getting more air into the lungs and the coughing he did at the time- both were actually helping him get any of the stuff out of the lungs/airway
That must have been scary, poor Joey poor you. Hoping all is well.
I am sorry you had to go through that, I would have been as scared. I hope he is doing way better, after all you ARE supermom.
Thanks for the links on my site!
Yikes! That is very scary when they do that. Wow I didn't know about the fever thing on the anonymous comment...good to know. Let us know how your night goes.
OH, that is the worst! It's so hard! You feel so helpless all the while freaking out inside. My baby let's his milk go down the wrong pipe all the time.
Oh my goodness how scary! I'm so glad he's alright. Are you? I hope so.
Oh goodness, I'm sorry I missed this one. I know how scary these spells are. I hope Joey is doing better today.
How scary that must have been! Choking is my worst fear and it makes me heart stop! Glad he was ok!
