Favorite Ingredient Friday

Baked Mac & Cheese

INGREDIENTS
1. 1 (16 ounce) package macaroni
2. 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed Cheddar cheese soup
3. 1 cup milk
4. 1 pound shredded Colby cheese

DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
2. Place macaroni in a 2 quart casserole dish. Stir in cheese soup and milk until well combined. Sprinkle with shredded Colby.
3. Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until cheese is brown and bubbly.

*Being a Catholic that doesn't eat fish during Lent is rough, but I manage by finding recipes of really good non-meat foods that are yummy! Either that or I'll just live on cheese pizza every Friday until Easter!

I love how easy this looks! My mom has a great baked mac & cheese recipe, but it's much more complicated than this. I love the cheese soup idea!

That look easy and yummy! Thanks for sharing...

hmmm. I used to hate fish until my hubby made snook...then he had me try tilapia a very mild tasting fish...(I'd recommend it from one who hated fish!)

This sounds great! I will be trying this soon! My last mac-and-cheese experience did not work out so well, but I think I can do this!

Ooops, sorry, I made a mistake in my first comment. :)

This recipe sounds great!

For a minute there I thought you said you were a Catholic that doesn't eat meat during Lent, then I read it again and realized that you don't eat FISH during Lent. Yes, that'd be rough. I don't mind fish myself. But it's still nice to have options like your mac & cheese to rotate out with.

Thanks so much for participating in my Favorite Ingredients Friday recipe exchange. I do appreciate it.
